My Philosophy

Our bodies are designed to synchronize/harmonize, within themselves and with the world around us. When that happens, we work with the universe rather than against it. Unfortunately, the pressures of modern life have taken many people out of harmony, effecting our ability to create health and defend against dis-ease.

Every medical condition, from anxiety, psychiatric, mental, emotional and spiritual disorders, as well as physical conditions such as back pain, heart disease, respiratory issues, immune disorders, etc are simply an expression of the energy of the body, mind, spirit being out of sync or harmony. We will retore and guide you in maintaining your unique Harmonization.

As a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, my approach to acupuncture is founded in Traditional Chinese Medicine enhanced by 30+ years of study in the martial arts including tai chi, qi gong and kung fu alongside many adjunct techniques including techniques used by blind acupuncturists to feel and work with the energy, music and quantum physics

About Jeff

Jeffrey Zimmerman is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine,

Licensed Acupuncturist, Medical Qi Gong practitioner,

and Founder of Harmonetiks.

After earning recognition from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the United States, Zimmerman traveled to China to earn his acupuncture certification from the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China in 1990. He was the first American to be invited to practice Medical Qi Gong and Fa Gong in Chinese Hospitals.  He refined his Medical Qi Gong and Fa Gong techniques to become part of his Harmonetiks System.  Jeffrey supported the head of cardiothoracic surgery and patients, using Harmonetiks techniques, during open heart surgeries at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York in the early 2000’s.

Zimmerman also served on the Alternative Medicine Advisory Board for Oxford Health Plans and was a board member of the Acupuncture Society of New York when the acupuncture law was passed in New York.

A frequent speaker at conferences, Zimmerman has lectured on energy medicine, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong at Colleges, universities and hospitals, including Mercy College of Oriental Medicine, Columbia University, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Danbury Hospital and the Comprehensive CancerCare Conference in Washington, D.C.

Harmonizing comes quite naturally to Zimmerman. Prior to getting his degree as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Jeff was a professional double bass and bass guitar player in London and New York. He attended the Julliard School pre-college on a scholarship and received degrees from both the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM) and Royal College of Music (ARCM).

He performed with London’s Royal Philharmonic and played in

over 20 different shows, including a four-year-run with

Les Miserables on Broadway.

Happiness exists on earth, and it is won through prudent exercise of reason, knowledge of the harmony of the universe, and the constant practice of generosity.
